2 things

1st: I got a text from my friend Becky yesterday that Trader Joe's is finally coming to Omaha. I went home to check the www to make sure it's true. I've been told this too many times, just to end up disappointed. It's true. Finally. It's about time, Omaha. And thank you, Trader Joe's, for not making me drive to the opposite end of town every time I visit you, oh so frequently. Can't wait. Read about it HERE.

2nd: Sandra McCracken released a new album, In Feast or Fallow. Take a listen HERE, or better yet, go buy it on iTunes. You'll be happy you did.

That's all.

still, my soul be still

This is one of my favorite songs right now. I SO need the reminder to be still, and be still often!

Still, My Soul Be Still (Click song title for sample)

Still my soul be still
And do not fear
Though winds of change may rage tomorrow
God is at your side
No longer dread
The fires of unexpected sorrow

God You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone

Still my soul be still
Do not be moved
By lesser lights and fleeting shadows
Hold onto His ways
With shield of faith
Against temptations flaming arrows

Still my soul be still
Do not forsake
The Truth you learned in the beginning
Wait upon the Lord
And hope will rise
As stars appear when day is dimming

critter update

Since the plugging of holes: no bat noises

Since the plugging of holes: 5 snake sightings in our yard(1 was dead, but one was big)

Move over bats, I'm more scared of the snakes in our yard now...

kona, friends and excitement

March was a crazy awesome month! Sarah got engaged and Rachel had a birthday. We celebrated at Kona Grill; it was totally delish. And the celebrations will continue all summer long... until Sarah's wedding in Mexico! Ahh... to feel the sand between my toes again...

batman (hunt) begins

No, we're not trying to catch Christian Bale, just an annoying fruit bat. But still, I feel like it's a freaky big batman in my wall. Say a prayer for us tonight(and maybe the next few nights) as we try to close the hole it comes and goes from... Eeeeeek!!!
